About Alex
Alex Kittoe is a Kansas City–based photographer, visual artist, and storyteller whose work explores atmosphere, memory, and emotional stillness across travel, landscape, hospitality, and documentary imagery. Working across film, digital photography, and digital collage, his practice is rooted in cinematic color, transitional light, and quiet moments suspended between movement and place.
His images often move between natural landscapes, city streets, hotel interiors, and the smaller details found while traveling. Whether photographing a coastline, a room filled with afternoon light, or a fleeting moment on the road, Alex’s work is less about documenting a destination exactly as it appears and more about preserving how it felt to be there.
Alex’s work has been exhibited internationally, including a solo exhibition in Seoul attended by approximately 50,000 visitors, and is held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Art + Light. He has collaborated with brands, musicians, agencies, hotels, galleries, and private collectors across both commercial and fine art projects.
